Who and when was jacquard invented?
The French inventor and part-time weaver Joseph-Marie Jacquard managed to create a unique model of a loom with which it was possible to produce fabric of special density. This happened at the very beginning of the 19th century, in 1801. The basis was a repeat of twenty-four threads. This weaving feature made it possible to create a beautiful fabric with a convex pattern, similar in texture to tapestry. At that time, carpets and tapestries were woven from jacquard fabric, curtains were sewn and used in furniture production as upholstery, and noble ladies sewed ladies' toilets to order. Weaving machine J.M. Jacquard began to be widely used by weaver-artists, who had the opportunity to transfer their artistic vision onto fabric, and thus a whole branch of weaving portraits appeared, but only noble and influential people could afford such excess.

Washing is allowed only in warm water, using a delicate cycle. The maximum water temperature should be 30 degrees. An exception may be if the material is made of cotton fibers or satin - then the first washes must be done in cold water, otherwise shrinkage of about 2% is possible.
Drying is done vertically; the bed linen must first be straightened and hung on a drying board.
