Ranforce fabric appeared on the market a couple of years ago, so it is not known to all specialists. Some of them claim that the sonorous name is a marketing technique by Turkish manufacturers to popularize ordinary cotton material.

However, textiles differ from other types of fabrics in a number of features. First of all, raw materials. The fabric is made from high-quality long-staple cotton varieties.

Bed linen made from ranfors is visually similar to products made from high-quality satin or poplin. It has the same smooth, matte shiny surface. The products are pleasant to the touch: soft, without snags or protruding knots.

Production

Ranfors differs from calico in the care and density of weaving.
Ranfors is made exclusively from cotton. To make this type of fabric, cotton fibers are used, which are grown in Egypt. When the plant ripens, its seed pod opens and a special harvester collects the soft, light fibers. They are cleaned, sorted, created into threads and then into fabrics.

Ranfors is made from long, strong fibers. The threads are subjected to special processing - they are tightly twisted, which helps to achieve the thinness and strength of the fabric, combed to remove roughness, and also polished for additional smoothness.

The threads are then joined into cloth using a simple and reliable plain weave. It consists of two systems - a vertical warp and a horizontal weft. The weaving pattern is symmetrical, the threads are connected perpendicularly, one after another.

The main difference between ranfors and calico is the care and density of weaving; the material consists of 50-60 threads that fit on one square centimeter (for comparison, calico contains about 40 threads). The quality of the weaving also allows the fabric to be called equal-density calico.

High-quality ranfors consists only of cotton, but some manufacturers add polyester (about 20%). Synthetic material helps improve the wear resistance and practicality of the fabric. When purchasing a product, you need to check the composition on the label; the information is also useful for washing (selecting water temperature, washing machine mode).

Physical properties

The tactile and visual sensations of ranfors are largely related to the characteristics of the fabric. Physical characteristics differ from other types of cotton textiles:

• the thinness of the fabric is achieved through the use of well-cleaned, sanded fibers;
• high twist thread: 3 times stronger than calico yarn;
• density – from 120 g/m2.

3. To whiten ranfors, use products based on active oxygen. Do not use chlorine-containing preparations, as they corrode the fibers.
4. If ranfors bed linen has dried flat, then it is not necessary to iron it, since the material hardly wrinkles. Iron strong folds and creases using the “cotton” setting.

Care

Caring for ranfors items consists of three simple operations: washing, drying, ironing, in which there is nothing complicated.

• It is enough to wash textiles made from this material at a temperature of 40 degrees, but if necessary, you can wash it at 60 degrees. This can be done either by hand or in the washing machine. Both quick and intensive wash modes are suitable.
• To maintain the brightness of the color, use gels for washing colored fabrics, make sure that the composition does not contain chlorine - it will not only spoil the color, but also damage the fibers of the fabric.
• You can spin the ranforce at any speed of the washing machine drum.
• You can dry cotton items outdoors, in a room or in a dryer. Ironing with a hot iron is safe for this fabric.

Tips for choosing PBC from this fabric

Ranfors bed linen is not inferior in quality to high-quality satin; it looks elegant and beautiful. No wonder it is often counterfeited. You can recognize a counterfeit by its unreasonably low cost, lack of labels, or information about the manufacturer. In addition, the strong shine of the fabric (it is inherent in synthetic materials) and the low density of the fabric should alert you.

For the rest, you need to focus on:

• composition: real ranfors is made of 100% cotton. But often fabric manufacturers introduce polyester. Because of this, people with a tendency to allergies may have difficulty feeling well. It is also possible that the laundry will become electrified and pellets will form on the surface.
• manufacturer: since ranfors is considered Turkish cotton, bedding sets from this country should be preferred. As for Chinese suppliers, it is better to choose kits sewn in factories.

It is equally important to correctly determine the size of the products included in the set. Each of them has two pillowcases 70 x 70 or 50 x 70 cm.
