What kind of fabric is oil? In fact, it is a knitted material with the addition of synthetic elements.

• Oil with the addition of synthetic threads has low creasing properties. If viscose predominates in the composition, then, on the contrary, creases and folds form very quickly even with careful wear.

• High hygroscopicity. What is hygroscopic fabric? This is high absorbency and comfort in the heat. This applies to viscose oil; synthetic oils absorb moisture much worse.
• Breathability. As in the previous case, only “natural” oil has this quality.

• Elasticity. Does it stretch or not? Of course, like any knitwear, oil hugs the figure in the right places, emphasizing its advantages.

What standards are used in production? What do they take into account?

Standards for the development, production and sewing of oil knitwear are established according to the GOST system. Among the certification and standardization documents, several can be distinguished:

• GOST 17037-85 establishes the terms of necessary concepts in the field of sewing and knitted products for household use;
• GOST 1115-81 establishes the grade of clothing products
• GOST 19712-89 establishes methods for determining the breaking characteristics of knitted products;
• GOST 16486-93 sets standards for abrasion resistance;
• GOST 10399-87 establishes tailoring requirements.

Manufacturing and composition

Instead of the usual creation of fabric on a machine, the butter is knitted with one thread: either viscose or synthetic.

A mandatory component of the fabric is spandex, the content of which must be at least 8%.

It gives the material elasticity and helps it stretch in all directions.

Based on its composition, oil is divided into three main types:

1. Viscose. The viscose content is 90%, and the remaining ten is spandex.
2. Polyester. Up to 90% is polyester, the rest is unchanged spandex.
3. Mixed. Here the variety lies in changing the ratio of viscose to synthetic threads. An even distribution of both sides is popular.

All types differ in properties, depending on the predominant component. Blended oil has equal qualities from synthetic and viscose material, which makes it much more practical.

Description

The basis of the fabric composition is oil - polyester and viscose . lycra is added to them , no more than 10%.

Classical relations:

• 95% viscose and 5% lycra in the oil make it delicate, soft and matte;
• 95% polyester and 5% lycra create a flowy, cool, shiny fabric.

In English, the name of the fabric is translated as “tight-fitting”. The fabric is able to fit tightly, fit perfectly to the figure, without forming a single fold, like a second skin.

The oil attracts attention with its bright, elegant colors. According to dyeing methods, the material is divided into:

• plain oil - the color can be any, from a bright, defiant tone to a delicate pastel shade;
• printed oil - with a printed pattern on the front side.

All types differ in composition, method of knitting and application.

1. Winter oil. Due to the predominance of viscose, it has a slight shine and a soft, velvety structure on the front side.
2. Chill. The material got its name for the cool sensation it feels when in contact with the skin. The threads in this fabric are thin and without a pronounced texture, so in the end the oil looks like light silk. Easily breathable fabric is used for sewing summer clothes.
3. With fleece. The front side and feel are similar to winter oil, since the composition contains a high content of viscose threads. Most of them are concentrated on the underside so that a thin but warm layer of down is obtained.
4. Micro oil fabric. When creating, a special weave and fibers of different thicknesses are used. The fabric turns out weightless and very soft. It is mainly used to make summer clothes and light blouses.
5. Venice. Lightweight and silky material made from synthetic elements.
