How to make a weighting agent: use cords or ribbons

The cord is attached to the bottom of the tulle, which adds some weight to the curtain. The thickness of the cord or cable is chosen taking into account the weight of the fabric itself, so as not to create excess or distortion due to the cord being too heavy. The cable is secured using a sewing machine with an overlock or zig-zag function. Cords are produced weighing from 15 to 125 g/m.

• turning the edge of the veil with a satin ribbon;
• a fringed ribbon is sewn along the bottom of the product;

How to care and clean?

A suitable option for cleaning the veil is hand washing, but if you don’t have enough time, you can refresh the curtains in the washing machine by following these recommendations:

• Choose a delicate mode and a temperature of no more than 40 degrees. It is not recommended to set the temperature higher, as the fabric shrinks during washing;
• How to bleach and what to bleach with? Oxygen or optical brighteners will help prevent fabric from being damaged. The latter are not suitable for colored veils. The products should not contain chlorine;
• The product is ironed slightly damp at a temperature of 100 °C and hung on a cornice.

Rules of care

Proper care of them will help preserve the original appearance of curtains for a long time.

It is recommended to wash the veil by hand using liquid detergents. You can use the delicate wash mode without spinning in an automatic machine. After drying, iron it through wet gauze.

Vacuuming voile curtains is not recommended. This can damage the structure of matter.
