Considering the commitment of Russians to cotton products, sellers always convince us that the goods are 100% natural. But these assurances do not always correspond to reality. It is much safer to read the label carefully.

• 100% cotton – cotton without impurities or additives;
• organic cotton – the raw materials were grown without the use of chemicals and were collected by hand;
• microcotton - cotton fibers could be sanded, making the finished fabric denser;
• ELS cotton – soft, durable long-staple cotton;
• combed cotton - combed cotton, its structure is similar to the previous type of fiber.

“100% cotton M” on the label is a clear sign of the presence of synthetic materials. “100% PC cotton” – polycotton has been added to the composition.

To maintain the softness and hygroscopicity of the towel for a long time, care for the product correctly:

1. Before using the towel for the first time, be sure to wash it.
2. Never place towels in the washing machine drum with items that have buckles, hooks or latches. These elements can pull out the loops and ruin the appearance of the terry product.
3. Wash your towels more often so you don't have to bleach or boil them.
4. Forget about air conditioners. Softening agents envelop the fabric fibers with a silicone film, which is why the products begin to absorb moisture less well.
5. Ironing is not required! Simply straighten the towel after washing and hang it out to dry in the fresh air. Drying on a radiator will make the towel rough.
6. If there are puffs on the terry fabric, you can simply carefully cut them off with scissors.

The most important thing before washing for the first time is to study the label. Thus, white cotton towels are not afraid of even boiling, and a product made of polyamide will become unusable already at +60 0C. Therefore, there cannot be general recommendations for all towels.
