Synthetic insulation Isosoft (Isosoft) with a wide spectrum of action, produced by the Belgian company Libeltex.
Isosoft is a non-pilling synthetic insulation of various designs and a wide range of applications. Isosoft insulation can be used for the manufacture of outerwear (children's, sports or work), as well as clothing for extreme conditions.
With its light weight and small thickness, Isosoft insulation has excellent heat-shielding properties, which are achieved due to a huge number of very thin fibers (the so-called fine-denier fibers). Isosoft insulation has a double-sided polymer coating to prevent fiber migration. This coating increases the wear resistance of the product, which allows you to use Isosoft in combination with any fabric.
Good elasticity, softness and high breathability are the main properties of Isosoft insulation.
Another undeniable advantage of Isosoft insulation is its hypoallergenicity. It is these properties that have made Isosoft so popular in the manufacture of winter children's clothing. Isosoft insulation (such as ISOSOFT 103, ISOSOFT 34, ISOSOFT 304) are well suited as insulation for children's outerwear and sleeping bags, because this group of insulation is twice as superior to conventional synthetic insulation in terms of thermal insulation properties with its low weight.
This group of insulation materials perfectly restore their shape after compression, and also do not lose their shape even after repeated washing. The structure of the fibers in the form of balls and the free space between them allow the product to retain its original shape and not deform, perfectly retaining heat. In terms of its ability to retain heat, one layer of Isosoft insulation can be compared to 3-4 layers of padding polyester.
Insulation from DuPont
Super-duper sophisticated insulation, the warmest of the entire family.
It consists of a mixture of as many as three types of fibers: providing strength, providing insulation and providing recovery after compression. Used in both regular and sportswear, as well as sleeping bags. It is distinguished by its high ability to recover after compression and at the same time high thermal insulation. Products made using this material must have a tag or patch.
Second in thermal insulation ability, about 20% warmer than goose down grade 550. However, it is distinguished by high elasticity and recovery after compression. Intended for sportswear and semi-sportswear, as well as sleeping bags.
Products made using this material must have a tag or patch.
The DuPont website shows a diagram from which it follows that this material is about 50% warmer than down. Personally, this seems more than doubtful to me in itself, and even the general diagram of insulation contradicts this. A distinctive feature is that it does not absorb odors. Ideal for gloves and sleeping bags.
Products made using this material must have a tag or patch.
Well, how can you resist running into 3M?! :)) So it is stated that PLUS is 30% warmer than polyolefin insulation. And if you take into account the fact that polyolefin insulation has approximately 30% better thermal insulation than 550 down, you will get the very best.
