Natural fabrics are suitable for textile materials - satin, cotton and silk chiffon, staple fabrics. I still consider the most suitable material for such trousers to be a high-stretch knitted fabric such as viscose.

My test trousers are made of thin cotton fabric from old stocks from the USSR era.

My fabric is 75 cm wide, this width was just right for the length of the panties. Therefore, I used the cutting method described.

Cuffs and a belt are cut out for them. The cuffs and waistband are sewn with several lines for threading the elastic.

The belt in the photo has intricate embroidery, and the hanging is made not with tassels, but with waves of small beads. The belt of an oriental costume has a center at the back. The front part of the belt does not have a center, this is convenient for the case when a young dancer gains or loses some weight and needs to increase or decrease the volume in the side seam.

The flower depicted in front lies as if on the side and looks impressive. It is more difficult to make changes to a belt centered in front and behind if the dancer's size changes. Therefore, before you start embroidering a belt, you should think about the above problem. You can make a fastener at the back using two strong Velcro strips. In this case, there is no need to embroider or narrow the belt. Just move the Velcro. It won’t be visible from a distance, but the belt looks solid.

Additional accessories for the costume

To create a memorable image of a dancer, bracelets on arms and legs, golden cords, and beautiful elongated earrings are used as additional decorations for the costume of an oriental beauty. The monisto that adorns the dancer’s neck looks original. During the dance, it makes a characteristic ringing sound and matches the color and style of the costume. It can be made from pearls, coins and glass beads.

Put the skirt on yourself and ask them to trim the bottom to fit you. You will see that the skirt sags in the front, so you will have to cut more at the front. Hem the bottom with a zigzag. Don't be embarrassed by the uneven hem; when you put the skirt on you will see that it is actually the same distance from the floor. Construction

Constructing an Aladdin pattern is more like constructing a skirt pattern than constructing trousers.

Let's draw a vertical line with its vertex at point T.

From point T, horizontally to the left and to the right, set aside 1/2 of the half-circumference of the waist and place points T1 and T2. T1T2 = Art. Segment T1T2 - estimated waist line.

Next, we set aside 18 - 20 cm from point T down and set point TB, or according to the formula TB = Dts/ 2. Draw a horizontal line through point B. On this straight line from point B, horizontally to the left and right, we lay 1/2 of the line of the hips and place points B1 and B2. B1B2 = Sat.

From point T down vertically we set aside the length of the crotch seam (in this case it is 45 cm) and set point W. We draw a horizontal line through this point. We got the so-called step line.

Now from point T1 and from point T2 to the step line we draw two arcs with a radius equal to the length of the trousers (I took 82 cm) and get points Ш1 and Ш2.

Next, from points Ш1 and Ш2 with a radius equal to the width of the trousers at the bottom (16 cm), we make notches on the initial two arcs and put points Ш11 and Ш22.

Now we connect point T1 with point Ш11 and point T2 with point Ш22. Lines Т1Ш11 and Т2Ш22 are the side seams of our panties.

We will also connect points Ш1 with Ш11 and Ш2 with Ш22. Lines Ш1Ш11 and Ш2Ш22 are the bottom lines.

Since our pants have a low waistline, we put 2 - 6 cm down from point T and set point T0 and draw a horizontal line through it. And at the intersection of this line with the side seams we put points T11 and T22. Line T11T22 - waist line of the pants. You can round it a little by stepping back 1 cm from points T11 and T22.

You noticed that we did not use points B1 and B2, why did we build them?

The fact is that the side seams will not always be located so far from these points.

If, for example, we take ТШ = 60 cm, and Т1Ш11 = 70 cm, then the side seams will be located closer to points B1 and B2.

The main thing is not to narrow your trousers along the hips. But in this case they look more like a skirt.

Here is another example, in which points B1 and B2 are located on the side seams:

In this example we cut a little differently. We connect point T1 with point B1 and continue this line down. Likewise on the other side. Connect T2 to B2 and continue the line down. We put points Ш11 and Ш22 on these lines. Segments T1Ш11 and Т2Ш22 are equal to the length of the trousers on the side. If you have trousers with a lowered waistline, then we set the length of the trousers from points T11 and T22.

Now from points Ш11 and Ш22 we restore perpendiculars to lines Т1Ш11 and Т2Ш22, respectively. And on these perpendiculars we lay down the segments Ш11Ш1 and Ш22Ш2 equal to the width of the trousers at the bottom. And we connect points Ш2, Ш and Ш1 with a smooth curve. Lines Ш2Ш and Ш1Ш are the instep seams of our panties.

The belt in Aladdin pants, as a rule, has an elastic band and is cut out in the form of a rectangle. The bottom of the trousers, or rather pants, can also be made with an elastic band or a cuff.
