I’ve been wanting to make a bag for a tablet for a long time so that it would be convenient to take it with me on a walk. Yes, everything was not leisure. The main obstacle was the fittings - there is no bag without them. I was procrastinating with the choice and purchase of this very hardware. And recently it hit me. Fsyo! I will sew a bag! - Pay special attention to the darts. You should not refuse them, otherwise the bag will turn out flat;
- after the bag pattern is ready, you can move on to working with the fabric;
- cut off one leg of the jeans and open one of the side seams on it. Repeat the same steps for the second pant leg. We ended up with 2 canvases for the front and back of the bag;
using chalk, transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut out the parts, leaving 10 mm allowances on each side;
Place both pieces with right sides facing each other and machine stitch the sides and bottom;
- connect the edges of the darts, secure their position with sewing pins and sew strictly along the line;
- Next, we proceed to decorating the denim bag. We cut off the pockets and sew them on the way we like. You can make pockets on the sides, you can sew both on one side, or even overlap each other. Experiment and choose the option that seems most harmonious;
- we sew a beautiful frill. We cut a strip of any beautiful fabric measuring 0.7 * 1.2 m. Fold it in half along the long side and sew it on a machine or by hand, making folds at the same time;
- we cut off the belt and yoke from the jeans, and sew our ruffle to the detail. Sew to the wrong side of the belt so that the frill protrudes about 30 mm;
- We connect the two parts and the bag is almost ready. All that remains is to make the handles;
- we intertwine strips of denim and a second material, as shown in the figure. We fix each “knot” with thread;

Let's get to the main part
We fold our workpiece in half, so that the outer side is on the inside. Using a laptop, make markings with chalk so that the case fits tightly. We fasten the edges with pins.
