Simple denim jacket patterns for sewing yourself

Denim items occupy an important place in almost any wardrobe. But some things are becoming scarce, others are going out of fashion. Regular jeans can fray or tear. If among your things there is something that can be altered, the time has come. Here are some great ideas collected from denim scraps.

Change your silhouette

Sometimes, to make something relevant, it is enough to make the most minimal changes. A shirt that wrinkles on the back can be altered to create a clear, neat silhouette.

For an hourglass or pear-shaped figure, choosing a denim shirt can be difficult. After all, with wide hips, the waist and shoulders will also be rather large. Remove the excess length of the sleeve at the top, resew the yoke and remove the excess fabric at the waist into the cross seam. The item will fit perfectly. Don't be afraid to replace decorative denim seams with regular ones - this will make your shirt look even more elegant.

Get inspired by examples of designer items

Patchwork items appear on catwalks and fashion store windows. Why not create something similar yourself? You can use any old item as a pattern. Combine pieces from pieces of denim in different colors. Items made from scraps of the same color, but of different saturation, will look best.

Unusual models

The denim version of those things that are more commonly seen made from other materials looks very impressive. Try making a cardigan or padded jacket.

Add textile or knitted details to denim items

Such clothes look fresh and original. From two things you can get one new one. It is especially good to sew children's clothes using this technique.

Lengthen a short item

Jeans is a democratic material. Therefore, patches or stripes will look quite appropriate.

Patchwork

If you are confident in your abilities, try complex shapes and truly original textures.

Now, when you find that your favorite jeans are worn out and your shirt is too small, you will have plenty of ideas for redesigning them.

One way to look stylish is to wear clothes made from denim. It is not only beautiful, but also made of natural fabric and is also highly durable. There are different styles of denim jackets, and most people will find one that suits them.

Women's jacket pattern

To design a women's denim jacket, it is convenient to use a standard pattern.

It should be taken into account that the jacket should fit loosely around the body. To do this you need to add 7-8 centimeters. Next, we will consider the pattern of a denim jacket in the most popular size.

Women's denim jacket

Back modeling

The distance from the neckline from the back to the bottom of the product will be 55 cm. Putting them down, draw a horizontal line. It should rise 0.5 cm towards the side seams. The same line will need to be considered as the bottom edge of the shelf.

The back shoulder will need to be lengthened by 3 cm. In this case, the shoulder line will need to be raised by half a centimeter. The armhole needs to be made deeper by 2 cm.

From the neck line you need to set 12-14 cm down. This will be the width of the yoke. It will need to be cut and cut specially. The remaining part of the back is divided into two parts: the middle part and the side.

Shelf modeling

The chest dart is closed in such a way as to bring it to the waistline. Now the side line will need to be straightened. The shoulder of the shelf needs to be lengthened by 3 cm. It is made higher by 0.5 cm.

How to make a yoke

The armhole is deepened by 2 cm. The neckline is increased by 1.5 cm. In this case, it is necessary to provide an increase for the fastener. To do this, you will need another 2 cm. You will need to put 10 cm down from the neck and draw a horizontal line. The yoke will need to be cut separately. On the shelf you need to mark the places where the buttons will be located.

Raised seams on the front

You need to set aside 2 cm from the edge of the closed chest dart to the side. From the bottom of the armhole along the yoke you need to measure 3.5 cm. This will be the location of the relief seam.

The denim pattern stipulates that there should be a pocket with a flap near the front edge of the armhole.

Pattern of a collar for a jacket

To create a collar, you need to measure the length of the neckline on the front and along the back. The collar width is 12 cm.

Shelf

Internal chest pocket with flap

I put this pocket in a separate post. I did it on jeans for my son.

Chest patch pocket with flap

I cut the pocket based on the size of the middle piece, so that the seams of the front come out from under the bottom of the pocket, and not from the sides.

My pocket lengths: width at the top 10.5 cm, bottom 9.5 cm; length in the middle 13 cm.

Valve: top width 11.5 cm; length in the middle 5.5 cm.

  • I cut out a pocket with an allowance of 1 cm, at the top 2 cm. I overcast the top allowance, bend it and lay a decorative stitch at a distance of 1.5 cm from the top.
  • I iron the side and bottom allowances.

  • I overcast the upper allowance of the lower part of the shelf.
  • I put the pocket on and sew it on. First stitch 1 mm from the edge, then the second at some distance. I go by the width of the machine foot, it’s very convenient for me.

  • I cut out the valve with allowances of 1 cm.

  • I detach the valve and punch through the loop.

I place the flap on the flange so that the flap allowance is below the edge of the flange allowance.

I sew it on. The line is above the stitching line for the shelf with the yoke (with chalk in the photo).

Yoke

  • I trim the one and a half centimeter bottom allowance of the yoke.

  • I fold the yoke with the shelf face to face.

The yoke allowance lies lower by the amount of trimming. That way he won't peek out.

  • I join with machine stitching.

Side pocket with frame

The shelf was assembled with God's help.

How to make a jacket from old jeans

Next we will tell you how to sew a denim jacket from trousers. To use old clothes for the material from which the product will be sewn, you need to rip the jeans along the side seams. It is necessary that all prepared pattern parts fit entirely on the resulting pieces of fabric. After this, the parts are cut out in accordance with the patterns and the sewing process takes place. Next we will tell you how to sew a jacket from old jeans using your own patterns.

To work you need to prepare the following:

  1. You need to use two pairs of jeans. It is desirable that the fabric on them be the same color.
  2. A wool jacket is required.
  3. Awl.
  4. It is necessary to prepare the required amount of lining fabric.
  5. The product will be fastened with a zipper. You need to choose one that will suit the tastes of the master.

Important! To work, you must have a sewing machine.

To sew a jacket from old jeans using a pattern, you need to do the following:

  1. Make a pattern yourself or stock up on a suitable one by finding it on the Internet or in a magazine.
  2. To ensure a jacket fits well, you need to have it made to your measurements and then adjusted accordingly.
  3. Work begins with preparing the main part of the jacket. Sleeves and collar are not considered at this stage. You need to pay attention to the presence of pockets in the basic pattern used. If they are not provided, you need to finish drawing them.
  4. When using a pattern, you need to add a centimeter to all existing seams and darts.
  5. Now you need to start preparing the jeans you are using. They need to be washed. After this, you need to cut them along the side seams, thereby preparing pieces of denim.
  6. The denim pattern for women is transferred to fabric. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that all the necessary parts fit on the existing pieces.
  7. The details of a denim jacket are customized onto the jacket. In this case, start with the side seams. Darts are made during the work process. The back part is made up of two halves sewn together in the center.
  8. A zipper is sewn into the front of the jacket. This is done in such a way as to capture the collar of the sweater.
  9. Attach pockets and sew prepared buttons on them.

At the last stage of following the step-by-step instructions, the jacket is sewn to the jacket as a warm lining. Now the jacket is completely ready.

Toys and other accessories

Toys

Make your child's favorite animal toys from denim. He will be happy to help you cut out patterns (they are easy to find in needlework magazines and on the Internet), stuff padding polyester, and assemble parts. Tip - wash your denim well in hot water to prevent it from fading. The eyes and nose can be made from buttons or you can buy blanks in the store. You can sew a vest, a hat, and pants out of jeans for your new little friend.

Bags

For little fashionistas, you can make handbags of various shapes from denim with zippers, snaps, and buttons. Sew a bright flower onto your handbag, attach a strap from a denim braid, or embroider it with large colored beads. All options will please the little fashionista.

It will be more difficult to sew everyone’s favorite backpack, and you will need more fabric. It is better to take a ready-made backpack as a sample. And then show your imagination: combine denim with plaid fabric, leather, use bright large zippers, various buttons, brackets, buckles.

For a shopping bag, denim fabric is better than any other. It is durable and thick, the main thing is to make the handles and seams reliable and strong. The bag can be made on a colored lining, having previously duplicated the parts with adhesive material. For decoration, use familiar materials: braid, buttons, beads, lace.

Using the same principle, but using a different pattern, you can make a laptop case, a beach bag, or a small bag for school shoes.

Basket

For Easter, the whole family will love this original basket of colored eggs. You need to pull threads from denim fabric (they are easily separated from the edge), collect them in a soft bundle and place them on the bottom of the basket. The basket itself can be decorated in an original way with cut strips of denim, alternating them with strips of fabric of a different texture. You will need glue to secure these strips.

You can sew an original denim napkin under the basket, sewing on top, for example, a piece of lace fabric.

Decorations

There are many types of decorations and small accessories; there are plenty of ideas for your imagination.

Headband

For hairbands, take a blank and wrap it with denim strips or cords. You can attach a bow or a flower arrangement made of the same fabric to the headband and sprinkle with sparkles.

Bracelet

An ornament in the form of a bracelet on a hand is also suitable as an idea for crafts made from denim. Cut two strips of fabric, make a small fringe along the edge, sew them together, and place rivets along the entire length. All that remains is to sew on interesting ties or clasps.

Brooch

For a brooch made of denim flowers, you will need either only denim material or additionally taffeta, silk lace, feathers and other materials of your choice. Everything needs to be put together into a composition. It will turn out beautiful both with a soft structure and with the use of gelatin to add rigidity. Here you need to look up on the Internet how to twist a rose, make leaves, shape petals. A pin is attached to the base.

Once you start, the flow of fantasy will give birth to more and more new ideas in your imagination. Create! Make the world around you with your own hands a brighter and more interesting world. And even from old denim items you can create new masterpieces.

How to convert a men's jacket into a women's one

Remaking a boy's or man's jacket into a women's jacket is another opportunity to update your wardrobe. This method will be especially convenient for beginning craftswomen. You can use a pattern taken from Burda. In this case, there will be no fear of doing anything wrong. After all, the base of the jacket has already been made and only a few relatively simple operations need to be done.

Men's jacket before alteration

Today, denim jackets for girls and women are back in fashion. Previously, their popularity peaked in the eighties and nineties. If a men's jacket has been preserved from that time, it is not difficult to update it by turning it into a fashionable women's item. This can be done in several ways. One of the most popular will be described below.

After the rework

You can do this as follows:

  • The jacket needs to be shortened. Due to the fact that breast darts were not provided, the situation can be corrected in the indicated way. It is enough to raise the edge no more than 5 centimeters.
  • You need to draw a new edge evenly along the entire jacket.

Bottom of an old jacket

  • Since the material will bulge on the back (especially if the jacket is oversized), you will need to sew the jacket at the bottom. It is convenient to do this on the sides. To measure, you need to pin the seam and draw with chalk the places where the fabric needs to be hemmed. Typically the width of the gap at the bottom of the seam is approximately 2 cm.
  • The side seams should be basted, but not sewn. At this stage they cannot be ground down. It makes sense to do this only after trying it on. The allowances must be carefully ironed so that they do not puff up.
  • After adjustments, the length of the belt should decrease by approximately 4 cm.
  • When the fittings are done, the excess fabric is trimmed and all the necessary seams are sewn.

Important! You can already wear this jacket. However, you need to understand that converting a men's jacket into a women's one does not come down to fit. An important part of it is the redesign of the style.

To do this, you can, for example, do the following:

  1. Draw a butterfly-shaped pattern on the back. A sample for this can be downloaded from the World Wide Web.
  2. To do this, you can use soap to apply the contours of the design onto the fabric.
  3. The outer line can be obtained by tracing the workpiece, and the inner pattern can be copied.
  4. Then along the top of the line one more time is made with a marker.
  5. After this, the pattern is drawn using paint.

Interior items

You always want to make your home truly cozy. Homemade interior items will help create such an atmosphere. Using old denim and new ideas, you can succeed in updating your interior.

Rug

You can make a rug from individual pieces of denim fabric of different shades. For example, by cutting out the shape of pockets, sew the blanks to a suitable size for a denser fabric. Pockets can be stitched with colored threads, brand names and emblems can be sewn on.

Upholstery and cover for chairs and stools

You can reupholster a chair and give it new life. To do this, cut out pieces of denim must be secured to the seat and back of the chair. Get your husband to do the carpentry work. Decorate along the contour with shiny braids. And there is also a slightly forgotten, but popular method: using household products with bleach, using a pencil and brush, apply artistic stains and drawings. And you don’t need large funds for this.

In the kitchen it will be comfortable to sit not on a hard stool, but on a soft seat. It is easy to sew a cover for a stool even for a novice needlewoman. The pattern is simple, you will need to lay a layer of batting between the layers of denim squares, and carefully finish the edge with a finished edging or hand decorative stitch. At the end of the work, sew on colored ties for fastening.

Pillows

Small sofa cushions will always add coziness. There are never too many of them. Try combining denim with colored cotton, velvet, and tweed for a cover. The patchwork technique will be the pinnacle of your skill.

Cover for flowerpots

Plastic and ceramic flowerpots for your favorite indoor flowers will also benefit from new covers made of denim fabric (let’s use the legs of jeans). Sew large colored buttons on them or cover them with a thick decorative rope and fix them with glue - and you will get a unique author’s project.

Finishing and decoration

Important! The denim jacket makes possible a large number of very different types of jewelry.

Here are some possible options for this:

  • You can use rhinestones. It is enough to arrange them on the jacket so that they look harmonious. Before gluing them, it is recommended to simply lay them out on the jacket in order to imagine how they will look. These decorations look good. If placed on the collar around the neck, shoulders, cuffs and pockets.

Decoration with rhinestones

  • Using lace fabric will add zest to a woman's look. When using an old jacket, you can cover worn areas in this way. Lace can be used not only in white, but also in other colors - for example, black, brown or gold. Lace details will look good on the front or on cuffs.

Using black lace

  • You can use baby beads for decoration. It looks good if parts of different sizes are used. Sometimes a pattern is used, but it must be marked on the fabric before sewing on the beads.

Use of beads

  • The use of beads to decorate jeans is more accessible to those who have experience and skills in this area. However, in this way you can make patterns that will make a fantastic impression. They can be placed on almost all large or small areas of the jacket: on the back, front or on the cuffs.

Using beads

There are also many other options for decorating denim jackets.

Antitrends

In conditions where the choice is too large and almost unlimited, it is very easy to get into trouble and there is a possibility that instead of a fashionable and, what is much more important, a stylish image, you will put together a clown university uniform. With our tips, you can keep your finger on the pulse of new trends.

Let's not delve into the topic of the poor, fitted denim jacket, it has suffered enough, but still let us remind you that - no. Loose straight cut!

But this option is definitely not worth adopting.

Of course, unless you're going to the Pride Parade next year, it's best to steer clear of those over-colored denim jackets.

It is better for a denim parka jacket with an elastic band to also lie on the top shelf.

It has long been replaced by more current elongated models, such as jackets, coats, dresses with a belt and massive buttons.

In addition, a very dangerous trend is entering our doors: a denim jacket with inserts of ruffles, lace, mesh and polka dots and other decorative elements. Our advice remains the same: everything should be in moderation!

Bows and polka dots on the sleeves are our firm NO. Such decorations for a denim jacket are only suitable for a child you are sending to kindergarten.

And polka dots can only take place if they come on a separate insert and on a mesh.

Also a rather unfortunate option with ruffles and an insert made of light fabric.

It looks tacky and tasteless, the texture of the fabrics don’t match, and a pearl necklace on the collar completes the look, making it look cheap. A jacket made of thicker fabric, oversized and more transparent ruffles or feathers, and without pearls, would look advantageous. Perhaps with a matching belt to add a feminine touch.

What to wear with a denim jacket

There are different types of such clothes. If you are using a regular size model, it is recommended to wear tight-fitting clothes underneath. In this situation, a turtleneck, shorts, skirts, and dresses are suitable. Shoes should be chosen depending on the woman’s height. If it is low, then a high heel is better. Low soles will make her look squat in a denim jacket. Skirts and dresses should not be longer than the jacket. In this case, the image turns out to be both gentle, feminine and bold, bright.

A denim jacket is practical and stylish and beautiful at the same time. Even novice craftsmen can sew it. There are many possibilities to decorate it and give it a unique and impressive style.

We all want to look stylish and tasteful. Over time, clothing made from denim, which has a special density and natural composition, is becoming increasingly popular. A variety of denim jackets are still quite a fashionable item in every person’s wardrobe; it is especially fashionable to wear jackets with fur. Of course, you can buy any women's and men's clothing, but why overpay if, for example, you can sew equally interesting outerwear from old jeans. To sew such a jacket, you can use different types of material - stretch, denim, chambray, denim, broken twill, eikru. You can also download various patterns for free on the Internet. Whether you buy fabric or use what you have, you'll save big. Today we will figure out how to sew a denim jacket with our own hands.

A simple idea for sewing a denim jacket

So, we come to the most important thing - sewing a fashionable denim jacket. Today we will look at several ways to make such clothes with your own hands. Since denim fabrics are quite dense and pliable, the work will be quite easy. Patterns can be made in different ways. Which ones? You will learn about this a little further.

To sew jeans and the work itself we will need:

  1. Finished pattern.
  2. Any denim 2 meters long.
  3. Filler (preferably padding polyester).
  4. Lining fabric of your choice, 1.5 meters long.
  5. Fur collar made of natural or artificial pile.
  6. Threads to match the fabric.
  7. Needle.
  8. Scissors
  9. Sewing machine.
  10. Elements for decoration.

Important! In this case, the length of 2 meters includes all the details of the pattern. As a result, you should get a jacket that reaches the lower level of the back (to the tailbone). Keep in mind that the size directly depends on your parameters and personal preferences.

Let's get started:

  • First, we make a pattern. Many examples are presented on the Internet. The most important rule is to cut according to your personal measurements, taking into account all allowances for seams and other sewing elements.
  • We transfer all the elements of the pattern onto the fabric and padding polyester.
  • Next, we sew the filling to the selected denim fabric, making horizontal stitches to secure the padding polyester inside the jacket.
  • We sew the pre-cut pockets to the side seam, folding the edges to the wrong side.

Important! To prevent the pocket from clinging inside the product, it can be sewn by hand to the stitching of the two front halves.

  • We machine sew two shoulder seams.
  • Now we sew the cut out sleeves to the upper shelves and sew down the side seams.
  • We take the pre-cut lining fabric and sew it along the already sewn lines of the padding polyester.

Important! Don't forget to overlock the edges of the lining.

  • On the wrong side of the fur collar you need to sew a strip of similar denim fabric.
  • We sew the collar to the neck of the jacket with our own hands.
  • We decorate the product at our discretion - with embroidery, rhinestones, thorns, lace, inscriptions and other decoration elements.

Important! Using this master class you can also sew a men's denim jacket. The customer decides whether to leave it in a classic design or make it brighter, and you just fulfill his pleasant whim.

How to sew a jacket from old jeans?

Just don't think about throwing away your family's old jeans. You can make an excellent warm jacket from them without having much cutting and sewing experience.

We prepare the necessary materials and tools:

  • Two pairs of old jeans (preferably the same weight and color).
  • Woolen jacket.
  • Lining fabric.
  • Metal zipper along the entire length of the jacket.
  • Two beautiful buttons.
  • Threads to match the fabric.
  • Thick needle.
  • Scissors.
  • Thimble.
  • Sewing machine.

Step-by-step algorithm of actions:

  1. We are looking for a ready-made pattern for sewing a denim jacket.
  2. Next, we take the necessary measurements.
  3. We transfer everything onto paper, excluding details such as collar and sleeves. If there are no pockets in the basic pattern, then we model them with our own hands, since in this master class they are included in the product.
  4. Add seam allowances and darts.
  5. We take 2 pairs of old jeans in our hands, wash them, steam them well and cut them into pieces so that the left and right parts are in harmony with your pattern.
  6. We transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut out all the details.
  7. Now it's time for a warm sweater that serves as a base for a denim jacket. We adjust the front and back of the jeans onto the jacket along the side seams, forming darts. The front and back denim parts should consist of two halves, sewn together with one central seam.
  8. We sew the zipper into the front of the jacket, grabbing the wool collar.
  9. Now we attach the pockets, make a loop and sew on the buttons.
  10. At the final stage, we sew the lining to all parts of the jacket.

That's all! Warm denim jacket is ready!

Important! If you are good at knitting, the sleeves and collar can be made from durable wool yarn, and then simply sewn on, following the step-by-step instructions described above.

Paris Fashion Week Trends

Fashion designers were inspired by boho and disco styles , and did not hesitate to use a variety of textures and play with color. You can often notice an unusual cut, wide sleeves and pockets , as well as a play with textures, because denim goes with almost everything and you definitely shouldn’t be afraid of something new.

Add some color! - said the Balmain fashion house and showed a whole set of richly colored jacket-jean suits.

We can also observe that in addition to the incredibly rich palette, the designer actively used unusual cut elements: wide shoulders and sleeves, which are combined with a turn-down collar with lapels, and pockets that, like earrings, hang from under a cropped jacket.

Current jeans - TOP 8 models

Balmain has played out variations of a jacket with a turn-down collar and wide shoulders more than once, successfully combining this trend with shiny leather leggings that flow like liquid silver along the model’s legs.

Continuing the theme that there are no more rules, designer Lutz Huelle diversified the denim jacket with inserts: mesh and small polka dots.

It turned out fresh and unusual. A belt around the waist gives the oversized jacket a sophisticated look and defines the waist.

This is a challenge to those who think that big things are a sign of masculinity. Lace and polka dots add lightness to the whole look and make it romantic.

Texture and cut also matter. So YProject updated the oversized denim jacket model and added disco-style swagger to it with a silver coating.

Here the denim jacket plays its solo role and says that it is no longer a cute addition to jeans or a dress. It is an independent element of your wardrobe that can brighten up, if not your whole life, then at least the day you put it on.

Givenchy shares a similar opinion, giving the denim jacket freedom of expression.

A jacket dress can compete with a trench coat in elegance, and in combination with high leather boots it makes the look fresh and non-trivial.

Virginia Viard continues the theme of femininity and lightness in her second collection for the Chanel fashion house.

And here we have collected the TOP looks for spring 2021!

Ruffles and wide sleeves on denim jackets add volume and texture to the look, just like in the good old days of the heyday of Parisian fashion. By the way, it is this city that Virginia Viard glorifies in her collection - the magnificent city of Paris!

Inspired by the political situation in the world, Balenciaga did not hesitate to try on overtly masculine looks for both sexes, creating a unique fashionable dress code.

Oversized jackets and jeans , black and dark blue colors (which are almost indistinguishable in color from the blue on the American flag, thereby giving the collection additional socio-political overtones), wear and tear - all this is intended to dispel the aura of boredom around the clothes of political figures. figures, but at the same time give their image more importance and poignancy.

DIY denim jacket for girls

When spring or autumn comes, many parents think about buying a good demi-season jacket. Unfortunately, now clothes are not cheap at all, so we will show you how to sew children's outerwear yourself at minimal cost. You only need to spend 2-3 evenings creating an original item for your princess.

So, let's prepare everything you need, namely:

  • Denim.
  • Fabric for lining (in this case we use flannel).
  • Threads in color.
  • 5 buttons for fastening.

Let's start sewing a denim jacket for a girl with our own hands:

  1. We take all the necessary measurements from the child’s blouse, and the sleeves must be re-measured on the model.
  2. We transfer all measurements to denim, taking into account 1-2 cm hems on the side seams, and 4 cm on the sleeves and hem.
  3. We sew the back and front together, and then sew the sleeve to the shoulder seam.
  4. The bottom of our children's jacket will be decorated with small gatherings that need to be taken into account when creating the pattern.
  5. Now we need to sew the top and bottom of the jacket together, forming 3-5 small gathers.
  6. We cut out all the details of the outerwear from the lining fabric and sew them with the denim material, making additional stitches in the shoulders and along the side seams of the product.
  7. We make holes along the edge of the two sides of the front of the jacket and fasten the fasteners.
  8. We bend the bottom several times, and then sew it on.
  9. Decorate the jacket with a satin flower or cartoon applique.

The children's jacket is sewn, all that remains is to ask the opinion of the most important expert!

Back

Yoke

If the yoke is single, then you can connect the yoke to the back and shoulder seams using a denim seam. You will get neat closed seams.

I have a double yoke. I cut out the inner part from the same jeans, but you can use something else: printed cotton looks original, for example.

  • I fold the yokes face to face and the back, aligning the cuts. I'm stitching.

Here I show that the yoke is double, face to face.

  • I trim the back allowance, leaving at least 3 mm.

I trim the yoke allowances together, leaving 1 cm.

  • I turn away the inner yoke and lay a decorative stitch at a distance of 1 mm along the upper yoke and seam allowances.

It is very difficult to topstitch both yokes by 1 mm, so I only topstitch the top one.

  • I add a second decorative stitch.

Shoulder seams

  • I pin face to face and then sew the front and top back yoke.

Let me remind you that if the yoke is single - then a denim seam, then we fold it inside out to inside out.

  • Trimming the back yoke allowance

I perform two shoulders in parallel.

  • I turn it inside out. I bend the allowance of the lower back yoke at a distance of 2-3 mm from the stitching line.

  • I place the yoke over the seam, closing it. To do this, it was necessary to iron it a little further.

  • I place a line from the face exactly into the seam.

  • And then the second decorative one.

Side seams

  • I stitch and overcast.

I cut 0.5 cm with an overlocker. The allowances are 1.5 cm; with this connection, such large ones are not needed.

  • I iron the seam allowances towards the back.

I show here the side seams from the front and back.

We're done for today. Whoever is alive is well done.
