After the pattern has been drawn, you should cut strictly along the lines and fold the future trousers so that the front side is directed inward. After this, you should sew the trousers, which will later become part of the cowboy costume. In this process, you first need to topstitch, make step seams, and then overcast the edges. After this, a middle seam is made and, again, the edges are overcast.
Then you should do the belt. In order to make it, you should carefully tuck the top of the pants so that you get a kind of drawstring, the width of which will be about three centimeters. After this it needs to be hemmed. Do not forget that you need to sew a special elastic band into the belt.
As a decorative element, special fringe should be sewn to the trousers. This must be done in the area of the seams and along their entire length. You can also sew fringe only from the knees to the bottom. The trousers that a cowboy costume should have are ready. You should move on to creating a shirt.
In order to make a shirt, you can take natural cotton fabric, dyed in bright colors or plain. It depends on taste preferences. The beginning of making a shirt is exactly the same as in the case of trousers. First of all, you need to draw the contours using a pattern and cut out the necessary parts. Having sewn the back halves together from the wrong side, you should overcast all the seams and smooth them well using an iron. From the same fabric you should make a facing for the neckline, fold it with the front side facing out and stitch it.
